7.5. ADJUSTING FRAMEPOST REBOUND
You can adjust the damper to help control the framepost rebound after an event like a bump.
Rebound is adjusted by inserting the ball-head end of a long 3 mm L-shaped hex key into
the hole on the underside of the top tube. Rotating clockwise increases rebound damping
(slower). Rotating counterclockwise decreases damping (faster).

FIG. 11
Damper rebound is calibrated to a general setting you can adjust to your liking.
Turn the rebound adjustment to the closed position (clockwise blue arrow) until it stops.
Next, turn the damper rebound adjustment counterclockwise 1.5-2 revolutions.
Adjust the rebound by turning it clockwise or counterclockwise a quarter turn at a time until
you find a point that allows good movement during events.
Adjust the rebound to the point where it doesn’t feel too bouncy but also
doesn’t rebound so slowly that it’s still traveling while leading into another
event.
More rebound damping is needed for a stiffer framepost when the saddle
height and rider weight do not change.
