11.2.3 Disconnecting machine from harness
► Press down the bar on the carabiner (1) and
pull the perforated rail (2) out of the carabiner.
11.3 Throwing Off the Machine
WARNING
The machine must be quickly thrown off in the
event of imminent danger. To throw off the
machine, use the procedure described under
"Detaching Machine from Harness". Practice
removing and putting down the machine as you
would in an emergency. To avoid damage, do
not throw the power tool to the ground when
practicing.
Practice slipping the harness off your shoulders.
12 Balancing the Machine
12.1 FS 260
12.1.1 Balanced positions
Mowing heads, grass cutting blades, brush kni‐
ves, shredder blades and circular saw blades
should lightly touch the ground.
The correct balanced position is obtained as fol‐
lows:
12.1.2 Let the machine swing until it stops
moving
► Loosen the screw (1)
► Move the carrying ring (2) – lightly tighten the
screw – let the machine swing until it stops
moving – then check the balanced position
When the correct balanced position has been
reached:
► Tighten the screw on the carrying ring

on the attached cutting tool.
