5 Preparing the pressure washer for operation
■ A battery which is believed to be completely discharged
may still produce a dangerous short-circuit current or may
leak. This may result in serious injury to people and
damage to property.
► Comply with all the statutory disposal regulations.
Dispose of discharged batteries immediately. Do not
dismantle them. Do not dispose of them by burning.
5.1 Making the pressure washer ready for use.
The following steps must be performed before commencing
work:
► Make sure that the pressure washer, the high-pressure
hose, the hose coupling and the connecting cord are in a
safe condition, @ 4.6.
► Cleaning the pressure washer, @ 14.1.
► If using a water filter: Check the water filter for dirt and
clean it if it is dirty, @ 14.4.
► Set up the pressure washer on a firm and level base,
where it will not slide or tip over.
► Unroll high-pressure hose from hose reel,@ 10.2.
► Connect spray gun, @ 6.3.
► Fit spray lance, @ 6.4.
► If using a nozzle: Attach the nozzle, @ 6.5.
► If using a detergent: Using detergents and the detergent
bottle, @ 10.6.
► Connect water supply,@ 7.
► Connect pressure washer to power supply, @ 8.
► If it is not possible to carry out these steps: Do not use the
pressure washer. Consult a STIHL servicing dealer.
6.1 Assembling the high-pressure washer
Installing handle with hose reel
► Slide the handle (1) onto the holder (2).
► Insert screws (3) and tighten.
Connecting the hose reel
► Fit the connecting piece (1) into the coupling (2).
The connector (1) engages with an audible click.
► Secure the cover (3) with the screw (4).
