17 Troubleshooting
The fuse rating of the socket is too low. ► Plug the connecting cable into a socket with
the correct fuse rating, @ 18.1.
The electric motor is too warm. ► Allow the pressure washer to cool for
5 minutes.
► Clean the nozzle.
The high-pressure pump
repeatedly switches on
and off without squeezing
the spray gun trigger.
There is a leak in the high-pressure pump, high-
pressure hose or spray attachment.
► Ask a STIHL servicing dealer to inspect the
pressure washer.
The working pressure
fluctuates or drops.
There is not enough water. ► Open water tap fully.
► Make sure that a sufficient quantity of water
is available.
The nozzle is blocked. ► Clean the nozzle.
The water intake screen or water filter is
blocked.
► Clean water intake screen and water filter.
The high-pressure pump, high-pressure hose
or spray attachment is leaking or faulty.
► Ask a STIHL servicing dealer to inspect the
pressure washer.
The shape of the water jet
has changed.
The nozzle is blocked. ► Clean the nozzle.
The nozzle is worn. ► Fit a new nozzle.
Detergent is no longer
sucked in.
The detergent container is empty. ► Fill the detergent bottle with cleaning agent.
The filter in the detergent bottle is dirty. ► Rinse out the filter under running water.
Connections with pressure
washer, high-pressure
hose, spray gun or spray
lance are stiff.
The gaskets of the connections have not been
greased.
► Lubricate the gaskets. @ 17.2
The LED "BATTERY
INDICATION" flashes red.
The batteries in the control panel are empty. ► Install new batteries in the control panel.
The activation key flashes
green.
The connection between the pressure washer
and the control panel no longer exists.
► Switch off the high-pressure washer.
► Reduce the distance between the spray gun
and the pressure washer.
► Switch on the pressure washer and the
control panel.
