9 Connecting the Water Supply
► Shut off the water supply.
► STIHL recommends attaching the water filter (2).

thereby helping to protect components from damage.
► Screw the coupling (1) onto the pressure washer or water
filter (2) and tighten by hand.
► Connect the water hose (4).
► If the spray lance is attached to the spray gun: remove the
spray lance.
► Turn on the water supply.
► Pull the spray gun trigger until a steady, even water jet is
delivered from the spray gun.
► Switch off the pressure washer.
► Lock the spray gun trigger.
► Connect the spray lance.
► Insert the nozzle, @ 8.4.1.
NOTICE
Running the pressure washer without water will cause the
pump to overheat, which may result in permanent damage.
Always connect and turn on the water supply to the pump
before starting the motor. Do not operate the pressure
washer without water.
Disconnecting the Water Hose
To disconnect the water hose:
► Switch off the pressure washer, @ 10.2.
