If the surfaces are not clean at the end of the cleaning step, either repeat the
cleaning processes or safely dispose of the applied part.
5. Disinfect all surfaces (from all sides), including the connection block and the
connecting cable, according to the instructions of the disinfectant manufac-
turer.
6. When disinfecting the ASTOPAD applied parts SOF and ROE, wipe from the
head end to the foot end.
7. Allow all parts and all sides to air dry thoroughly before continuing to use or
store.
9.6.3 Control unit
Clean and wipe-disinfect the ASTOPAD control unit according to the following
procedure:
1. Disconnect the ASTOPAD control unit from the mains.
2. Visually inspect the control panel and the housing from all sides for wear,
holes, cracks and other impermissible damage.
Cleaning and disinfection is only possible if no damage is present. Damaged com-
ponents cannot be used.
3. Thoroughly clean all surfaces (from all sides) according to the instructions of
the disinfectant manufacturer to remove all residues of bodily fluids and other
contamination.
If the surfaces are not clean at the end of the cleaning step, the cleaning process
should be repeated until the housing is visibly clean.
4. Disinfect all surfaces (from all sides) according to the instructions for the dis-
infectant.
5. Allow the ASTOPAD control unit to air dry before continuing to use or store.
