5.2 Maintenance
Preventive maintenance is not necessarily required. However, regular maintenance
may help to identify possible defects at an early stage and thus increase the safety and
service life of the device.
Maintenance services can be ordered from the regional representatives in your area.

Repair work on defective devices must only be carried out by personnel suitably autho-
rised by the manufacturer. Only STORZ MEDICAL original parts from the manufacturer
may be used for this purpose. The suitably authorised personnel can be from the
STORZ MEDICAL AG or be representatives of its agencies and dealers.
5.5 Service life
CAUTION
At the end of the service life of the MASTERPULS
®
ONE, the risk of malfunctions or
defects increases.
These may affect the health of patients and users.
► If possible, do not operate the device and its accessories beyond the specified ser-
vice life.
The handpiece should be overhauled about every 1 million pulses (see Chapter 5.1.4

VERHAUL OF THE HANDPIECE). Then the mean time to failure (MTTF) is in accordance
with EN60601-1:2005 + A1:2012
– approx. 5,000 hours for the device MASTERPULS
®
ONE
– 1 million pulses for the pulse transmitter
– 5 million pulses for the handpiece
For servicing, contact your local distributor.
Exceeding the service life can be expected to result in a failure of the device and acces-
sories.
No warranty claims shall be accepted beyond the information given in Chapter 9.1

ARRANTY FOR THE CONTROL DEVICE.
When disposing of this medical product, no special measures have to be ob-
served. Please proceed in accordance with applicable country-specific regula-
tions. After expiration of the service life of the device, dispose of the
MASTERPULS
®
ONE as waste electronic equipment.
