FOOT END LOAD CELL REPLACEMENT
Required Tools:
Wire Cutters 7/16” Wrench 3/8” Drive Ratchet
7/16” Socket 9/16” Socket 7/32” Allen Wrench
T27 Torx Wrench Torque Wrench Syntec Grease
1. Properly ground yourself (see page 9).
2. Pump the litter up to full height.
3. Using wire cutters, cut the cable ties holding the load cell cables to the litter frame at the foot end of the
stretcher on the side where the defective load cell is located. Cut the cable ties holding the cable to the
foot end lift header.
4. Disconnect the load cell from the cable (labeled foot/right and foot/left) on the side where the defective
load cell is located.
5. Using a 7/16” wrench and 7/16” socket and ratchet, remove the two hex head cap screws and nuts holding
the trend slide on the side of the litter with the defective load cell.
6. Using a T27 Torx wrench, remove the Torx screws holding the trend cross support and remove the trend
slide.
7. Using a 7/32” Allen wrench and a 9/16” socket and ratchet, remove the two bolts holding the load cell
to the lift header and remove the load cell. Note the orientation of the black load cell bushing so it will
be reinstalled properly.
8. Grease the ends of the new load cell using Syntec grease (Stryker part number 3000−200−700).
9. Reverse steps 1−6 to install the new load cell. Torque the two bolts holding the load cell to 20 $3 ft./lbs.
NOTE
To make it easier to reassemble the trend slide and trend cross support, install the Torx screws in the trend
cross support before tightening the hex head cap screws on the trend slide.
Do not compress the display cable when installing the new cable ties.
10. Verify the load cell function as described under Displaying Individual Load Cell Outputs on page 14.
11. Recalibrate the scale system (see page 15).
