SCALE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS (CONTINUED)
Scale Calibration:
Calibrate the scale system with a known weight of approximately 200 pounds.
1. Remove all items from the stretcher except the mattress and other items used during the patient’s stay.
2. After going to the calibration menu in diagnostics, hold the zero and lb / kg buttons for two seconds to
zero the stretcher. The display will read Hold. Release the button when the display reads Rel. The
display will read 000.0 then 200.0 lbs.
3. Place a calibrated 200 pounds on the middle of the stretcher litter.
4. Hold the zero and lb / kg buttons for approximately two seconds. The display will read Hold. Release
the button when the display reads Rel. The scale system is calibrated. To check the calibration, place
several known weights on the litter and verify the scale displays the correct weight reading.
Unit Lock:
Under normal operation, the scale system will toggle between pounds and kilograms when the lb / kg button
is pressed. To lock the weight unit, hold the zero and lb / kg button for two seconds. After going to the unit
lock menu, press the zero button to toggle between pounds lock (lb) or kilograms lock (kg) or any unit. Press
the zero and lb / kg button for two seconds to lock the unit. The display will read Rel, then only kg or only
lb depending on which unit you locked in.
