What to do if Stryker Power-PRO XT Medical Equipment SMRT Pak does not provide sufficient power for cot operation?
    • A
      Aimee BarrettJul 28, 2025
If your Stryker Medical Equipment's SMRT Pak isn't providing enough power, try these steps: Fully charge the SMRT Pak for two hours. If the charger indicator LED is solid amber, replace the SMRT Pak. Check the voltage at the power terminals on the Pak for 26 VDC minimum immediately after a full charge; if it's less, replace the Pak. Wait one hour, then charge the SMRT Pak again. If the charger indicator LED turns solid green in less than one minute, contact Stryker Technical Support. If the charger indicator LED flashes green for longer than one minute, replace the Pak.

If the charger indicator LEDs on your Stryker Medical Equipment are not lighting up when the Pak is inserted, try these steps: Unplug the charger, wait five seconds, and plug it back in. Ensure the charger power LED is lit; if not, consult the section on SMRT charger power LED issues. Make sure the SMRT Pak is fully inserted, listening for a click. Try another SMRT Pak to isolate the problem. If the LEDs still don't light up, replace the charger. If they do light up, replace the original SMRT Pak.

If your Stryker Medical Equipment charger shows a temperature delay even when the Pak is at a normal temperature, remove the SMRT Pak and let it cool at room temperature for at least four hours.
