Transferring larger patients
Use the transfer flat (6005-001-001) when you transfer larger patients.
Attaching the mattress
CAUTION
Do not store items under the mattress. Items under the mattress may interfere with product operation.
Two mattress options are available for use with this product. Use the standard gatch bolster (6500-002-150/6506-002-
150) mattress with the standard siderail. Use the wider gatch bolster mattress (6500-003-130/6506-003-130) with the
optional expandable patient surface (XPS).
To attach the mattress to the cot:
1. Align the Velcro® on the back of the mattress with the Velcro® on the cot litter.
2. Attach the strap at the foot end of the mattress through the two holes in the foot end skin on the cot litter.
3. Pull the strap through the buckle and attach the Velcro to secure the strap.
