Removing a Hot-Swap Drive Carrier from the Chassis
1. Push the release button on the drive carrier, which will extend the drive carrier handle.
2. Use the drive carrier handle to pull the drive out of the chassis.

3.6 Storage Drives
The system supports ten hot-swap 2.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe storage drives in hybrid bays. An
optional controller card kit is required to support SAS. Optional cables are required to support
NVMe.
The drives are mounted in tool-less drive carriers that simplify their removal from the chassis.

Note: Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro servers. For
