3.4 Chassis Components
Hard Drives
The SC418G supports a total of 24 hard disk drives, which are mounted in drive carriers
and reside within the hard drive bays. These drives are hot-swappable and can be removed
or replaced without powering down the chassis. Enterprise NVMe, SAS or SATA HDDs only
are recommended.
Removing Hard Drives and their Carriers from the Hard Drive Bays
1. Press the release button on the drive carrier. This extends the drive carrier handle.
2. Use the handle to pull the drive and its carrier out of the chassis.
