Chapter 4: Chassis Setup and Maintenance
Installing the I/O Shield
1. Review the documentation that came with your motherboard. Become familiar
with component placement, requirements, and precautions.
2. Power down as described in section 4-1, lay the chassis on a at, stable surface
and remove the chassis cover.
3. With the illustrations facing the outside of the chassis, place the shield into the
space provided.

Riser Card Bracket (W or U Models only)
Some SC826 models incorporate riser cards to accept full height expansion cards.
This riser card is mounted on a chassis bracket that, if it is installed, must be
removed before installing the motherboard. See section 4-5 for more information.
I/O Shield
The I/O shield holds the motherboard ports in place. Install the I/O shield before
installing the motherboard.
