CHASSIS
REMOVAL
AND
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the rear brake caliper. (Refer
to
page
7·24.)
• Support the motorcycle
with
a jack
or
block.
• Remove the
rear
torque
link
bolts.
CAUTION:
Do
not
operate the brake pedal while dismounting the brake
caliper.
• Loosen the axle
nut
and the chain adjuster nuts.
• Draw
out
the axle shaft.
•
Disengage
the drive chain
from
the rear sprocket and remove
the rear wheel.
• Separate the rear sprocket mounting drum from the wheel.
• Separate the rear sprocket from the sprocket mounting
drum by loosening
four
nuts.

• Remove the oil
seal
with
the special
tool.

remover
• Drive
out
the sprocket mounting drum bearing
as
well
as
front
wheel bearing. (Refer
to
page
7-5.)

CAUTION:
The removed bearing should
be
replaced
with
a new one.
