7. Replace the gasket 5 with a
new one and tighten each bolt
to the specified torque.
Oil drain plug:
12 N·m (1.2 kgf-m, 9.0 lbf-ft)
Generator cover bolt:
11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
8. Remove the bolts 6 holding
the filter cap 7 in place.
9. Replace the oil filter 8 and the
“O” ring 9 with a new one.
Oil filter cap bolt:
11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)

Failure to use an oil filter with
the correct design can damage
your motorcycle’s engine.
Be sure to use a genuine
Suzuki oil filter or an equiva-
lent one designed for your
motorcycle.
