7.4 Flow of sample racks in the transportation system
This section describes the overall flow of sample racks.
7.4.1 Placing a sample rack in the rack feeder
1 Place a sample rack in the rack feeder.
Transporting starts automatically after the sample rack
is inserted in the rack feeder.
A maximum of 20 sample racks can be placed at the
same time.
Insert the sample rack on the far side of (1) rack
no-insertion area.
Make sure that the rack feeder, rack collector, left sampler pool, and transport line are free of dirt and
foreign objects. Also make sure that no dirt or foreign material adhere to the bottom of the sample racks
and no racks are damaged or deformed.
• If the sample rack is oriented in the wrong direction or the protrusion does not fit into the groove, the
sample rack may topple.
• There is a risk of instrument malfunction if the sample rack is inserted in front of the arrow on the rack
feeder.
