Chapter 8 Maintenance
This chapter describes the procedures for instrument maintenance.
8.1 Cleaning
Wipe the surface of the instrument with a soft dry cloth, or a damp cloth.
8.2 Replacing fuses
Fuses are used in the SA-90 to protect against a surge in current. If a fuse blows in the SA-90, follow the steps below
to replace the blown fuse.
Always wear protective gloves, a protective mask, protective eyewear, and a lab coat when cleaning the
instrument. When finished, wash your hands with a disinfectant. There is a risk of pathogen infection.
Before cleaning the instrument, always shut down the instrument and unplug the power cable from the
outlet.
There is a risk of electrical shock.
When replacing a fuse, always wear protective gloves, a protective mask, protective eyewear, and a lab
coat, and use the specified tools and replacement part. When finished, wash your hands with a
disinfectant. There is a risk of pathogen infection.
• Always turn off the power and disconnect the power cable from the power outlet before replacing a fuse.
There is a risk of electrical shock.
• Replace the fuse only with a fuse of the specified type and rating.
There is a risk of fire.
Replacement of fuses on the SA-90 must be performed by a service technician.
