Press the  (
No
) key to cancel splitting the
file and return to the
SPLIT
FILE
screen.
NOTE
When the SPLIT FILE screen is open, you can press
the Á PLAY key and find the point where you want
to split the file during playback.
When a file is split, new files are created with
“_a” and “_b” added to the end of the original
file name.
For example, if the file name before being split
was “091225_0000.wav”, then the file names
after splitting are “091225_0000_a.wav” (part
before the split point) and “091225_0000_
b.wav” (part after the split point).
After being split, the “_a” file is selected.
CAUTION
MP3 files cannot be split. •
If the open capacity on the microSD card is low, •
splitting might not be possible.
If the resulting file names would have more than •
200 characters, splitting is not possible.
If a file already exists that has the same name as a •
name that would result from splitting a file, split-
ting is not possible.
Erasing files
Follow these procedures to erase unnecessary les.
1 Use the
Â
and
¯
keys or the
FOLDER
/
FILE
screen to select a file that you want to
erase.
2 Press the FUNCTION key to open the
FUNC-
TION
menu screen.
3 Use the +/– keys to select the
DELETE
FILE
menu item.
