ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENT
-NOTE-
Before performing maintenance on this unit, it is highly necessary to
thoroughly clean and demagnetize the entire tape path. TEAC maintenance
equipment to be used includes:
TEAC TZ-261 A/B for cleaning
TEAC TZ-255 A/B for oiling
TEAC E-1 for demagnetizing
It is important that the unit must be matched to the voltage and frequency
of your locality.
TEAC specified standard Test Tapes and Test Equipment must be used when
performing maintenance to insure reliable results.
Procedures for checks and adjustments, unless otherwise indicated, are
for the left channel at a tape speed of 19 cm-7-1/Z2ips.
The same procedures are to be applied to the right channel and again for
both channels at 9.5 cm+3-3/4ips.
All controls mentioned in this book will be printed in capital letters and
will be exactly as they appear on the unit.
All internal adjustments are accessible by removing bottom cover and the
PC Board retaining bar, except for those adjustment portions such as REC
LEVEL, CAL TONE and DOLBY FM/COPY are shown on the Rear Connections-Panel
of the unit.
Customer's preferred tape may be substituted if requested,
TEAC Test Tape YIT-8003 is similar with Group A "Low Noise" type tapes.
Use your selected tape from Group A below if YTT-8003 is not available.
