Top fluid level to 3/4 and close cap

To drain the brake system:
D. Pull brake lever (5) to pressurize circuit
E. Loosen small escape valve (7) allowing fluid spurt
F. Close small valve and release brake lever

Repeat operations D, E and F until fluid comes out clean and no longer in spurts proving absence of air bubbles.

Top-off reservoir with needed amount of brake fluid
!
Close reservoir and repeat operation for other brake
!
Hydraulic fluid may also be replaced using gravity after disconnecting the circuit. This method is however more
laborious and less reliable.

6.5.2 Replacing brake pads
When thickness of lining is less than 2.4 mm, brake pads should be replaced using the following procedure and the fig.

Make sure parking brake is released
!
Remove fairings to expedite operation
!
Loosen bolts (2) from the caliper (1)
!
Remove brake pads (3)
!
Replace brake pads
!
Reassemble
