7. Adjust the TRIGGER LEVEL control for a stable display.
8. Set the SEC/DIV switch to a sweep speed that provides three
or more divisions of horizontal separation between measure
ment points on the two displays. Center each of the displays
vertically (see Figure 3-7).
9. Determine the horizontal difference between the two signal
measurement points and calculate the time difference using
the following formula:

EXAMPLE. In Figure 3-7, the SEC/DIV switch is set to 50 pus per
division, HORIZONTAL MODE is set to MAG, and the MAG switch
is set to XI0. The horizontal difference between waveform mea
surement points is 4.5 divisions.
Substituting the given values in the formula:
Time = 50 H-s/div x 4.5 div _ 22.5
