2. ARMING and DISARMING the System
The system can be armed when all the group detectors, in the respective zone(s) that is
(are) to be armed, are inactive and are indicated by the “-” symbol on the LCD display.
AVA can provide short sound signals from the System sirens in conrmation of success-
fully executed Arm or Disarm commands. Where this function has been programmed by
the System installer, the successful execution of the Arm command shall be conrmed
by two short activations of the sirens, and the execution of the Disarm command shall be
conrmed by three short activations of the siren.
2.1 Operation with a Remote Control
RC 102 TE Remote Control gives the user the possibility for distance Arming and Disarm-
ing the system. RC 102 TE has a visual and a sound indication for the system status.
2.1.1 RC 102 TE Button Functions
System DISARM. Pressing the button disarms all system groups. This function is
automatically assigned by default after the remote control enrolment.
System ARM. Pressing the button arms all system groups. This function is auto-
matically assigned by default after the remote control enrolment.
Freely programmable button. The installer assigns this function when program-
ming the control panel. The button can be programmed for Panic, Fire button,
Programmable output or Medical alarm.
Information button, indicating the system status. The installer assigns this func-
tion when programming the control panel. In order to use the button to monitor
the system status it must be programmed beforehand at the control panel as “not
programmed”.
By default, the buttons are programmed as follows:
DISARMS all groups in the system.
ARMS all groups in the system.
DISARMS groups 1, 2 and 3.
ARMS groups 1, 2 and 3.
