Ensure that the WAN port of the router obtains a public IP address before configuration.
Procedure:
Step 1 Log in to the GUI of the NVR.
Step 2 Enable the UPnP function of the NVR.
1. Navigate to Configuration > Network > UPnP.
2.
Enable the UPnP function.
3. Click Save.
If the port mapping of the HTTPS service fails, try the following solutions:
- Set the mode to Custom and customize the external port of HTTPS as the uncommon
port (1024-65535). Note: When the external port is modified, the internal port will
also be modified synchronously. At this time, when the LAN user uses the IP address
of the NVR to access the web UI, the internal port needs to be added. The format is
https://IP address of the NVR: internal port.
- Check whether the UPnP configuration of NVR’s upstream router is correct.
Step 3 Enable the UPnP function of the router that is in the network.
Refer to the user guide of the corresponding model for detailed steps.

The internet user uses https://current IP address of WAN port of the router to successfully access
the web UI of the NVR. If the external port of the HTTPS is not the default port, the access format
is https://current IP address of WAN port of the router: external port.
The access address is https://102.33.66.88 in this example.
