8.4 Firmware update
The current firmware version is available at www.testo.com.
There are two options available:
• Performing an update using IRSoft or
• Performing an update with the thermal imager
Downloading firmware

- Download firmware: Firmware-testo-865-872.exe

- Unzip file: double-click on the exe. file

FW_T87x_Vx.xx.bin is stored in the selected folder.
8.4.1 Performing an update using IRSoft
8.4.1.1 Preparing the camera

- The rechargeable battery is fully charged or the camera is connected
to the mains adapter.

- Connect the computer to the camera with the USB cable.

- Switch on the camera.
8.4.1.2 Performing an update

IRSoft is activated.

- Select Camera → Configuration.

- Click on Configure thermal imager.

The Camera settings window opens.

- Select Instrument settings → Firmware Update → OK.

FW_T87x_Vx.xx.bin is displayed.

- Select Open.

Firmware update is performed.

Thermal imager is automatically restarted. Update complete.
