Environment
Configuration codes

8-bit environment. Eight bits define a 256-charac-
ter table. Columns 0 and 1 and columns 8 and 9

reserved for control characters. Columns 2
through 7 and columns

contain
printable characters. The
area
defined by columns
2 through 7
is
called the
GL
(G-Ieftl character set.

The Gothic character set
is
the default character
set and consists
of
ASCII characters, United
States version, or a national language version
as
determined by configuration. Other character sets

options and, when installed,
