CURRENT
LOOP
INTERFACE
The Current Loop Interface option
is
a half-size
board which plugs into the communication con-
troller slot. The interface uses a four-wire, pas-
sive, neutral current loop which does not interfere
with
the standard RS-232-C serial interface. Data
can be received from either interface, provided the
other interface
is
in a spacing condition or its con-
nector
is
unplugged.
E.8
RS422 INTERFACE
The RS422 Interface
is
a four-wire serial commun-
ication system which
is
electrically balanced
to
provide better performance at high speeds and
longer distances than
is
possible
for
RS-232-C.
Operation at 9600 baud at distances up
to
1200
meters (4000 feet)
is
possible with this
option.
The
RS422 Interface option
is
a half-size board
which plugs into the communication controller
slot.
