2. Unscrew the threaded cap covering the hollow pass-through of
the motor (Figure 2.29).

3. Use the following steps to insert the drive shaft through the hollow
pass-through of the mixing assembly:
• Attach the drive shaft and impeller sleeve to the bottom of the
bearing hub, using the quick connect fitting (Figure 2.30).
• Use two hands to load the drive shaft through the top of the
motor assembly. A slight back-and-forth twisting motion will
aid in insertion.
• When approximately 5.1 cm (2 in.) of shaft remains, twist
slightly to engage the impeller (Figure 2.31).
