4. MAINTENANCE
4.4 50 HOUR SERVICE
4.4E Engine Cooling System
Check the coolant level daily. Add only
50/50 mixture ethylene glycol. Do not use
or mix in other types of coolant. Add
coolant to the overflow reservoir (T90030)
as required to be above the minimum cold
level.
Correct coolant mixture must measure
-32ºF (0ºC) using an accurate measuring
device.
The engine coolant needs to be flushed
and changed every year or after 900 hours
of operation, which ever comes first. See
section 4.6 for 900 hour service informa-
tion.
Check the radiator fins for obstruction
of damage. Clean the radiator using com-
pressed air and or flush with water.
Straighten bent fins carefully.
Do not exceed 40 PSI (276 kPa) when
servicing the radiator. Wear safety glasses
when using compressed air. Wear rubber
gloves when working with coolant.

Wear rubber gloves and use eye protection
when handling coolant.
