10.2.2.2 HDMI Signal Format
This menu is only available if the source is set to HDMI, and it allows you to choose between
three available signal formats:
Standard Format: If you select this format, some high resolutions may not be supported
because of bandwidth limitation of HMDI 1.4 protocol.
Enhanced Format: The TV will display High-Quality HDMI signals via HDMI 2.1
connection. Note: Your TV must have an HDMI 2.1 connection, and you might require an
HDMI cable, which supports HDMI 2.1 protocol. Select this option only if your device
supports High-Quality HDMI formats, such as: 4K 60Hz, 4:2:0 10 bit, 4:4:4, 4:2:2,
VRR/ALLM game etc.
Auto: The TV will try by default to display High-Quality signals via an HDMI 2.1
connection. Note: Your TV must have an HDMI 2.1 connection, and you might require an
HDMI cable, which supports HDMI 2.1 protocol. If your device does not support the
HDMI 2.1 format, the TV will automatically switch to the Standard Format of HDMI 1.4.
