OPERATING MANUAL 5. PUTTING INTO SERVICE

5. Putting into service
Prior to putting the machine into service first check whether the following
works have been carried out:
Safety, accessory and installation tools are removed from danger zone
Check mounting and aligning of machine, frame and rope departure
Check fastening of machine and frame
Screws are tightened and secured with pre-set torque (see table with
tightening torques in 9.1)
Brake shoe stroke and adjustment are checked
Brake test switches checked for correct adjustment and functioning
Brake test with one brake shoe each is carried out
Manual brake release checked for correct functioning
Rope guards are mounted *

), safety disconnection checked for correct
functioning if traction sheave cover is removed
Supply terminals, earthing of motor, forced ventilation, brake release
magnet connected, checked and secured
Special mountings (optional) 2. pulse generator checked for correct
functioning
Direction arrow (up/down) for the respective travel direction is clearly
visibly glued on expanding brake magnet above traction sheave
(label in motor terminal box in the as-delivered condition)

) In the case of older versions without rope guards one safety contact each
is provided below the drilled holes for the hydraulic jack. See chapter 8.2
