The Upper Receiver
To disassemble the Upper Receiver (refer to Figure 15):
1. Remove ve Receiver Screws (8) holding the two Upper Receiver halves together,
and lift the Left Receiver Half (1) off from the Right Receiver Half (2). Keep track
of the Hex Nuts (22), as they might come loose from the Right Receiver half.
Note that the Magazine Release Mechanism parts (25, 26, and 27) stay with the left half
of the Upper Receiver. For Magazine Release Mechanism disassembly instructions, see
below.
2. Remove Barrel Adapter (24), remove Ball Latch (10), remove O-ring (23).
3. Clean and inspect parts for damage. Replace any damaged parts.
4. Clean the inside of each Upper Receiver half.
Reassembly:
1. Make sure all parts are cleaned.
2. Place the Right Upper Receiver half (2) on at surface.
3. Insert the Ball Latch (10), Barrel Adapter (24), and O-ring (23) into the Right
Receiver half. Make sure the Barrel Adapter is rotated to its locked position so it doesn’t
slide out.
4. Use your nger tips to guide the Left Receiver half straight down on to Right Receiver
half until both receiver halves come together. If they do not t ush the rst time,
check to make sure the parts have stayed in place, and repeat until both halves come
together.
5. Insert ve Screws (8) into holes they were removed from. Make sure the Hex Nuts
(22) are in the recessed areas designed for them. Carefully tighten all 5 screws (be
careful to not overtighten and strip threaded parts).
Magazine Release Mechanism
1. With receiver halves apart, push the Magazine Release Button (26) and turn it 90
degrees, then release it.
2. Remove the Magazine Release button (26) and Spring (27).
3. Remove Magazine Release Pin (25) from the Left Upper Receiver.
4. Clean and inspect parts. Replace any damaged parts. Reassemble in the reverse order.
