CAN'T LOAD OR UNLOAD A TOOL, OR THE SPINDLE'S DRAWBAR DRAGS
Cause: The pull stud clamp has loosened from the end of the spindle's drawbar shaft.
Probability How-To Steps
Very Low 1. Use the BT30 Clamping Unit Installation Tool (PN 50385) that was provided
either with your machine or with your upgrade kit to verify that the clamping
unit is securely tightened onto the drawbar shaft. If the clamping unit is loose:
a. Uninstall the clamping unit and inspect it for wear or damage. If you find
any damage, replace it with Clamping Unit, BT30 (PN 39690).
b. Reinstall the clamping unit: apply medium-strength (blue) thread-locking
compound to the threads, and tighten the clamping unit onto the drawbar
shaft with the installation tool.
