Procedure
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostop.
3.Checkthetireairpressurebeforeuse;referto
CheckingtheTireAirPressure(page55).
Note:Thetiresareoverinatedforshipping.
Adjustthetireairpressurebeforeoperatingthe
machine.
4.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevel;refertoChecking
theHydraulic-FluidLevel(page62).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingthe
BearingsandBushings(page43).
Important:Failuretoproperlygreasethe
machinewillresultinprematurefailureof
criticalparts.
6.Openthehoodandcheckthecoolantlevel;refer
toCheckingtheCoolantLevel(page58).
7.Checktheleveloftheengine-oillevel,andclose
andlatchthehood;refertoCheckingtheLevel
oftheEngineOil(page46).
Note:Theengineshipswithoilinthe
crankcase;however,checktheoillevelbefore
