Procedure
Theturf-compensationspring(Figure21)transfers
theweightfromthefronttotherearroller.Thishelps
toreduceawavepatternintheturf,alsoknownas
marcellingorbobbing.
Important:Makespringadjustmentswith
thecuttingunitmountedtothetractionunit,
positionedstraightaheadandloweredtotheshop
oor.
1.Makesurethatthehairpincotterisinstalledin
therearholeinthespringrod(Figure21).
Note:Whenservicingthecuttingunit,movethe
hairpincottertothespring-rodholenexttothe
turf-compensationspring.
