Important:Beforeweldingonthemachine,
disconnectthenegativecablefromthebatteryto
preventdamagetotheelectricalsystem.
Note:Checkthebatteryconditionweeklyorafter
every50hoursofoperation.Keeptheterminalsand
theentirebatterycasecleanbecauseadirtybattery
willdischargeslowly.
Cleanthebatteryasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Removethebatteryfromthemachine.
3.Washtheentirecasewithasolutionofbaking
sodaandwater.
4.Rinsethecasewithcleanwater.
5.Coatthebatterypostsandcableconnectorswith
Grafo112X(skin-over)grease(T oroPartNo.
505-47)orpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
