TractionPedal
Thetractionpedal(Figure15)has3functions:
tomakethemachinemoveforward,tomoveit
backward,andtostopthemachine.Pressthetop
ofthepedaltomoveforwardandthebottomofthe
pedaltomovebackwardortoassistinstoppingwhen
movingforward.Also,allowthepedaltomovetothe
NEUTRALpositiontostopthemachine.Donotrestthe
heelofyourfootonreversewhenoperatingforward
(Figure16).

Pressthebrakepedal(Figure15)tostopthemachine
byactuatingthefront-wheelbrakes.
Parking-BrakeTab
Tosettheparkingbrake,pressthebrakepedal,then
presstheparking-braketab(Figure15)toengage
thebrakes.Disengagethetabbypressingthebrake
pedal.Engagetheparkingbrakebeforeyouleave
themachine.
ThrottleControl
Thethrottlecontrol(Figure17)allowsyoutocontrol
thespeedoftheengine.Movingthethrottlecontrol
towardtheFASTpositionincreasestheenginespeed;
movingthethrottlecontroltowardSLOWdecreases
theenginerpm.Groundspeedsareasfollows:
•3.2to8km/h(2to5mph)forwardmowingspeed
•14.1km/h(8.8mph)maximumtransportspeed
•4.0km/h(2.5mph)reversespeed
Note:Youcannotshutofftheengineusingthe
throttlecontrol.
