•Ifthelterisdirty,tapitonahardsurfaceseveral

kPa(30psi).
Note:Donotbrushorblowdirtfromtheoutside
ofthelter;eitherforcesdirtintothebers.

4.Installthelterontothebase.
5.Installthecoverandscrewthefastenerdownsecurely.

1.Ensurethatthefueltankcontainslittleornofuelso
thatfueldoesnotleakoutwhenyoutipthemachine
ontoitsside.
2.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
3.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.Referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page16).
4.Tipthemachineontoitsside,withthedipstickdown,
untiltheupperhandlerestsontheground.
5.Setanoil-drainpanunderthedipstick.
6.Removethedipstickanddraintheusedoilintothe
oil-drainpan(Figure33).

8.Pourabout3/4ofthecrankcasecapacityofoilinthe
crankcase.

11.Insertthedipstickfullyintotheoil-lltube,then
removethedipstick.
