LooseningtheTrackTension
Ifthetrackseemstight,loosenthetracktensionasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Removedirtanddebrisfoundaroundthetrack-tension
greasevalve(Figure99).
Important:Ensurethattheentirearea
surroundingthetrack-tensiongreasevalveisclean
beforebeginningtoadjustthetracktension.
3.Removetheretainingboltsandcoverthathousethe
track-tensiongreasevalve.
4.Turnthetrack-tensiongreasevalvecounterclockwise
nomorethan1revolution(Figure99).
Note:Aone-revolutionturnwillreleasegreaseand
loosenthetrack.
5.Whenthetensionreaches3,200psi,turnthe
track-tensiongreasevalveclockwisetotightenit.
6.Removeexcessgreasefromaroundthevalve.
7.Installthecoverandretainingbolts.
8.Repeatsteps2through7toloosenthetracktensionon
theotherside.
