RemovingDebrisfromthe
TractionUnit
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Important:Operatingtheenginewithblocked
screensand/orcoolingshroudsremoved,willresult
inenginedamagefromoverheating.
1.Parkthetractionunitonalevelsurface,lowerthe
loaderarms,andstoptheengine.
2.Removethekeyandallowtheenginetocool.
3.Openthehood.
4.Cleananydebrisfromthefrontandsidescreens.
5.Wipeawaydebrisfromtheaircleaner.
6.Cleananydebrisbuild-upontheengineandinthe
oilcoolernswithabrushorblower.
Important:Itispreferabletoblowdirtout,
ratherthanwashingitout.Ifwaterisused,
keepitawayfromelectricalitemsandhydraulic
valves.Donotuseahigh-pressurewasher.
High-pressurewashingcandamagethe
electricalsystemandhydraulicvalvesordeplete
grease.
7.Cleandebrisfromthehoodopening,mufer,and
heatshields.
8.Closethehood.
CleaningtheChassis
ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Checkfordirt
build-upinthechassis.
Overtime,thechassisundertheenginecollectsdirt
anddebristhatmustberemoved.Usingaashlight,
openthehoodandinspecttheareaundertheengineon
aregularbasis.Whenthedebrisis1to2inchesdeep,
haveanAuthorizedServiceDealerremovetherearof
thetractionunit,fueltank,andbatteryandushthe
chassisclean.
Storage
1.Lowertheloaderarms,stoptheengine,andremove
thekey.
2.Removedirtandgrimefromtheentiretractionunit.
Important:Youcanwashthetractionunit
withmilddetergentandwater.Donotpressure
washthetractionunit.Avoidexcessiveuseof
water,especiallynearthecontrolpanel,engine,
hydraulicpumps,andmotors.
3.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner.
4.Greasethetractionunit;refertoGreasingthe
TractionUnit.
5.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoServicingthe
EngineOil.
6.Chargethebattery;refertoServicingtheBattery.
7.Checkandadjustthetracktension;refertoAdjusting
theTrackTension.
8.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repair
orreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
9.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
10.Storethetractionunitinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.Removethekeyfromtheignition
switchandkeepitinamemorableplace.
11.Coverthetractionunittoprotectitandkeepitclean.
