5.Thoroughlycleantheundersideofthemowerwith
water.

Engineoil,batteries,hydraulicuid,andenginecoolantare
pollutants.Disposeoftheseaccordingtoyourstateandlocal
regulations.

1.Thoroughlycleanthemachine,deck,andengine,
payingspecialattentiontotheseareas:
•Radiatorandradiatorscreen
•Underneaththedeck
•Underthedeckbeltcovers
•Counterbalancesprings
•PTO-shaftassembly
•Allgreasettingsandpivotpoints
•Insidethecontrolbox
•Beneaththeseatplateandtopofthetransmission
2.Checkandadjustfrontandreartirepressure;referto
CheckingtheTirePressure(page41).
3.Remove,sharpen,andbalancethemowerblades.
Installthebladesandtorquethebladefastenersto115
to149N∙m(85to110ft-lb).
4.Checkallfastenersforloosenessandtightenthemas
necessary.Torquethe6boltssecuringthemowerdeck
frametothetractionunit(Figure62)to359N∙m(265
ft-lb).
