Installation
NOTE: Apply anti-seize to the transmission splines before reinstalling
1. Using an overhead hoist, two M8 X 1.25, and two flat washers, lower the transmission assembly into the
machine.
NOTE: When lowering the transmission assembly, align the drive shaft into position.
2. Place the seven bolts connecting the transmission assembly to the bell housing 30-35 ft-lbs. (40-47 Nm).
3. Disconnect the hoist from the transmission assembly.
NOTE: It is recommended to replace all hose O-rings before reassembly.
4. Reconnect the case drain hose to the transmission assembly and gear pump hose to the gear pump.
5. Reconnect the four wheel motor hoses to the transmission assembly, based on the marked location in removal.
6. Apply an anti-seize lubricant to the splines of the deck drive shaft.
7. Align the mark on the deck drive shaft with the gear box. Slide the deck drive shaft on the gear box.
NOTE: If the mark’s don’t align, rotate deck belt moving the deck pulleys.
8. Install the roll pin.
9. Install the two pinch bolts.
10. Slide the hydro tank into position.
NOTE: Hydraulic filter should not be installed during tank installation and will interfere with hydro tank
install if filter is already installed.
11. Place the hydro tank front mount bracket into place and secure with two nuts.
12. Install the hydro filter.
NOTE: Rear hydro tank mount bracket needs to be slid into place before installing the hydro filter.
13. Reconnect the seven hydro reservoir hoses and secure each hose with corresponding clamp.
14. Using new fluid, refill the hydro tank to the full line
15. Perform a Purge Procedure, see “Charging the Hydraulic System,” chapter 7, page 7-17.
16. Top off hydraulic fluid
