Wheel Motor Replacement
Removal
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage the PTO, and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine, wait
for all moving parts to stop and remove the key.
NOTE: Make sure work area is clean.
2. Release the pressure from the hydraulic system before servicing any hydraulic related component, see
“Releasing Pressure from the Hydraulic System,” chapter 7, page 7-6.
3. Raise the machine and secure with jack stands.
4. Remove the rear wheel.
5. Release the parking brake.
6. Remove cap screw and lock nut on the upper portion of the park brake linkage.
7. Place a drain pan under the torque motor.
8. Mark the hydraulic lines to ensure proper orientation for installation.
9. Remove the three hydraulic lines, set aside to drain.
10. Remove the lower two motor plate mount bolts.
11. Remove the carriage bolt securing the discharge plate to the motor plate (96 in. only).
12. Using a floor jack, securing the wheel motor.
13. Remove the upper two motor plate mount bolts.
14. Remove the wheel motor away from the machine.
15. Remove the four bolts securing the plate mount to the wheel motor.
