1.Positionthemoweronaatsurface.
2.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,andsetthe
parkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
4.Checktirepressureofall4tires.Ifneeded,
adjustthepressureto90kPa(13psi).
5.Lowerthemowertothe76mm(3inch)
height-of-cutposition.
6.Inspectthe4chains.Thechainsneedtohave
tension.
•If1rearchainisloose,lower(loosen)the
front-supportarmonthesameside.Referto
AdjustingtheFront-to-RearMowerPitch(page
58).
•If1frontchainisloose,raise(tighten)the
front-supportarmforthatchain.RefertoAdjusting
theFront-to-RearMowerPitch(page58).
LevelingtheMowerSide-to-Side
1.Positiontherightbladefront-to-rear(Figure74).
2.MeasuretherightbladeattheBlocation,from
alevelsurfacetothecuttingedgeoftheblade
tip(Figure74).
3.Recordthismeasurement.Thismeasurement
needstobe7.9to8.3cm(3-1/8to3-1/4inches).
4.Positiontheleftbladefront-to-rear(Figure74).
5.MeasuretheleftbladeattheClocation(Figure
74),fromalevelsurfacetothecuttingedgeof
thebladetip.
6.Recordthismeasurement.Thismeasurement
