disengagethepowertakeoffandlowerthe
attachments;
changeintoneutralandsettheparkingbrake;
stoptheengineandremovethekey.
Disengagedrivetoattachments,stoptheengine,
anddisconnectthesparkplugwire(s)orremove
theignitionkey
beforeclearingblockagesoruncloggingthe
chute;
beforechecking,cleaning,orworkingonthe
lawnmower;
afterstrikingaforeignobject.Inspectthelawn
mowerfordamageandmakerepairsbefore
startingandoperatingtheequipment;ifthe
machinestartstovibrateabnormally(check
immediately).
Disengagedrivetoattachmentswhentransporting
ornotinuse.
Stoptheengineanddisengagedrivetoattachment
beforefuelling;
beforeremovingthegrasscatcher;
beforeadjustingtheheightunlessyoucan
adjustitfromtheoperator'sposition.
Reducethethrottlesettingduringenginerun-out
and,iftheengineisprovidedwithashutoffvalve,
turnthefueloffattheconclusionofmowing.
MaintenanceandStorage
Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewstighttobesure
thattheequipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.
Neverstoretheequipmentwithfuelinthetank
insideabuilding,wherefumescanreachanopen
ameorspark.
Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,
silencer,batterycompartment,andfuelstorage
areafreeofgrass,leaves,orexcessivegrease.
Checkthegrasscatcherfrequentlyforwearor
deterioration.
Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
Ifyoumustdrainthefueltank,doitoutdoors.
Whenmachineistobeparked,storedorleft
unattended,lowerthecuttingmeansunlessyou
