adequatecooling,correctenginespeed,andreduces
thepossibilityofoverheatingandmechanicaldamage

1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO)and
settheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Removetheairintakescreen,recoilstarter,and
fanhousing(Figure76).
4.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromtheengine
parts.
5.Installtheair-intakescreen,recoilstarter,and
fanhousing(Figure76).

Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthis
machinearedesignedtoremainonthecover
afterremoval.Loosenallofthefastenerson
eachcoverafewturnssothatthecoverisloose
butstillattached,thengobackandloosenthem
untilthecovercomesfree.Thispreventsyou
fromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfreeofthe
retainers.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Movetheseatforward.
4.Waitfortheengineandhydraulicsystemtocool.
5.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromthehydraulic
unitshrouds(Figure77).
