Storage
1.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
2.Settheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
4.Removetheignitionkey.
5.Removethegrasscollectorandcleanit;referto
RemovingtheGrassCollector(page31).
6.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especially
theengine.Cleanthedirtandchafffromthe
outsideoftheenginecylinderheadnsand
blowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewith
amilddetergentandwater.Donotuse
pressurizedliquidstowashthemachine.
Pressurizedliquidsmaydamagethe
electricalsystemorwashawaynecessary
greaseatthefrictionpoints.Avoidusing
waterexcessively,especiallynearthecontrol
panel,lights,engine,andbattery.
7.Checkthebrake;refertoCheckingtheBrake
(page31).
8.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page22).
9.Greasethechassis;refertoGreasingand
LubricatingtheMachine(page21).
10.Changetheengineoilandlter;referto
ChangingtheEngineOil(page24)and
ChangingtheEngineOilFilter(page24).
11.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingthe

12.Whenstoringthemachineover30days,prepare
itasfollows:
A.Addapetroleum-based
stabilizer/conditionertothefuelinthe
tankaccordingtotheinstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuse
analcohol-basedstabilizer(ethanolor
methanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfueland
usedatalltimes.
B.Runtheenginefor5minutestodistribute
