1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page41).
2.Unlatchandopenthehood.
3.Inspectthefuellinesandttingsfordeterioration,
damage,orlooseconnections.
Note:Repairorreplaceanydamagedorworn
thefuellinesorttings.
4.Closeandlatchthehood.

ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page41).
2.Unlatchandopenthehood,andwaitforthe
enginetocool.
3.Placeacleancontainerunderthefuellter.
4.Loosenthedrainvalveonthebottomofthelter
canister(Figure66).

3.Cleantheareawheretheltercanistermounts
(Figure66).
4.Removetheltercanisterandcleanthe
mountingsurface.
5.Lubricatethegasketontheltercanisterwith
cleanoil.
6.Installtheltercanisterbyhanduntilthegasket
contactsthemountingsurface;thenrotatean
additional1/2turn.
7.Starttheengine,checkforleaks,andshutoff
theengine.
Note:Repairallfuelleaks.
8.Closeandlatchthehood.
