ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthewheel
motoranddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheRearWheelMotor
IMPORTANT
Becauseoftheinternaldifferencesinthewheelmotors,donot
interchangethewheelmotorsonthemachine(e.g.,donotputthe
rightmotorontheleftsideofthemachine,orafrontmotoronthe
rearofthemachine).
RefertoFigure55forthisprocedure.
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthewheelmotor,lubricateand
installnewO-ringstothettings.Alignandinstallthettingsintothewheel
motorports;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThread
O-RingFittings)(page5–9).
2.Positionthewheelmotortoframeandslidetheparkingbrakebracketonto
thebrakebar.
3.Securethemotorandparkingbrakebrackettotheframewiththe4previously
removedfasteners.
4.Removethecapsandplugsthenconnectthehydrauliclinestothewheel
motorttings;refertoInstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFace
SealFitting)(page5–7).
IMPORTANT
Beforeinstallingthewheelhub,cleanthetapersofthewheelhub
andwheelmotorshaft.Ensurethatthetapersarefreeofgrease,
oil,rust,anddirt.Donotuseanti-seizelubricant,whenyouinstall
thewheelhub.
Donotusethelocknutpreviouslyremovedtoattachthewheelhub
tothewheelmotor.
5.Cleanthetapersofthewheelhubandwheelmotorshaftandinstallthe
woodruffkey,wheelhub,andanewlocknutonthewheelmotorshaft.
6.Useatorquemultipliertotightenthelocknutfrom271to542N·m(200
to400ft–lb).
7.Installtherearwheel;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheRearWheels
(page7–5).
