4.22 FL (DSTN)
CAUTION: When you remove the FL, be careful not to let any dust or other foreign
matter enter the LCD panel components. Any contamination can affect the
performance of the unit.
Removing the FL (DSTN)
To remove the FL, follow the steps below. Refer to Figures 4-51 to 4-52.
1. Turn off the power to the computer. Disconnect the AC power cord and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, optional PC card, display
mask, FL inverter board and LCD module as described in Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4,
4.16, 4.18, and 4.20.
3. Turn the LCD module over and release four latches securing the FL module to
its frame.
4. Remove two M2x6 silver screws.

5. Lift the FL module out of the frame.
